In the 2nd phase of the project seamless collaboration is underway with ΙΟΜ and 11 NGOs which operate long term accommodation facilities for UASC, as well as with 11 CAMHS and child psychiatric clinics where minors with serious mental health problems are being referred to.
Requests have been submitted to the Public Prosecutor's Office in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Mytilini, to grant permission for UASC’s participation in the study.
During the 1st phase of our study we collaborated with IOM and 16 NGOs which operate shelters for UASC as well as with 13 mental health services and child psychiatric clinics of public hospitals to which UASC are being referred in Greece. The administration of these organizations and directors of mental health clinics have been most helpful by granting us the permission to conduct this study that will benefit all stakeholders involved in the psychosocial support of UASC who live in long-term accommodations in Greece.
UASC-4-PSYCH is funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.) under the “First Call for H.F.R.I. Research Projects to support Faculty members and Researchers and the procurement of high-cost research equipment grant” (Project Number: 16340).
